Summer Vocabulary Cards with vocabulary chart and record cards.

To help develop vocabulary and work on meaning, I like to use Venn Diagrams. For K-1 I use two large hoops fashioned as a Venn diagram. Students sit in a circle around the Venn Diagram and we read, discuss and decide where each object or card belongs and why.
Your Venn diagram can be easily used with any of our vocabulary cards. In this example, I have used our Winter and Summer Vocabulary cards found in our TpT store.
I have included the headings and a free summer, winter Venn plus a generic sheet that you could use after any comparing any two topics or ideas using two hoops. Click here to download the free Venn printable.

I sometimes hand the Venn hoops on the wall using plastic hooks and adhering the cards as we go. This would serve as an ongoing reference for both reading and writing lessons.
